Restoring Traditional Values in a New Persian Empire: Vision of Equality and Peace
Restoring Traditional Values in a New Persian Empire: Vision of Equality and Peace
Imagine being crowned the Shah of the New Persian Empire, a nation rich in history, yet burdened by the loss of cherished traditions and customs. In this singular moment, which traditions would you choose to restore, and how would you envision your empire evolving under your leadership?
My Vision: Equality, Secularism, and Democratic Reform
As the Shah, my primary mission would be to foster a society built on equality, where all groups are treated with dignity and respect. This would include a full reform of our country, focusing on women's rights, LGBTQ liberties, and secularism. I would seek to strengthen ties with Europe, promote economic democracy, and abandon military interventions.
Pursuing Equality
To ensure full equality for all, I would begin by punishing all Islamic Republic leaders and officials for their crimes against humanity, including charges of treason. My first decree would grant immediate freedom to women, allowing them to fully participate in all aspects of society. LGBT individuals would be granted full rights and freedoms, promoting a diverse and inclusive community.
Implementing Secularism
A separation of church and state is a cornerstone of my vision. I would establish a fully secular government, ensuring that religion does not infringe upon the lives of citizens. This would include ending all hostilities with Israel and forming an alliance based on mutual defense. Israel's army would be temporarily brought in to ensure our safety until we can build our own powerful military.
Popularizing Pan-Iranism
To foster a stronger sense of national identity, I would promote Pan-Iranism, the idea that all Iranian-speaking people should be unified under one nation. This would involve developing and supporting Tajik, Ossetian, and other communities within Iran. I would encourage Iranian Azerbaijanis to consider an independent Azerbaijan, fostering cultural and ethnic ties. Once a strong and unified Iran is established, North Azerbaijan would naturally rejoin the nation.
Encouraging Diversity and Unity
While promoting unity, I would also recognize and support the unique cultures within Iran. For instance, I would build strong Jewish and Christian communities in Iran, encouraging European Jews to immigrate. This would not only support religious diversity but also discourage antisemitism and promote a more inclusive society.
Fostering Tourism and Immigration
To dispel stereotypes and attract global attention, I would encourage tourism and immigration from European countries. This would allow people to see the true face of Iran, promoting a better understanding and appreciation of our culture and values.
Lessons from the Past
It is important to draw lessons from our history. Reza Shah's wife, Zeinab Soltanzadeh, pointed out in her answer that in ancient times, only the children of rulers and courtiers had the right to education. This system was designed to maintain the status quo and prevent the government from falling into the hands of a select few. In a new Persian Empire, education should be available to all, ensuring a more equitable and informed society.
By embracing these principles, we can build a New Persian Empire that respects its rich history while fostering a modern, inclusive, and prosperous nation for all its citizens.
