Marvel Comics: Heroes Deserving Their Time in MCU Movies
MARVEL COMICS: Heroes Deserving Their Time in MCU Movies
Over the years, Marvel Comics has introduced countless heroes that have captured the hearts of fans around the world. While many of these fighters have successfully made their way to the big screen, there are still a number of heroes who deserve their own turn in a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) movie. Let's take a look at some of these characters and who would be the perfect fit for their cinematic debut.
The Silver Surfer
The Silver Surfer is a fan favorite, and his solo movie is long overdue. After the ill-fated Fantastic Four in 2007, we can forget about that. It's time to celebrate Norrin Radd's character in a standalone film. He could make a cameo in upcoming MCU Fantastic Four films, providing a hint at his rich past. Benedict Cumberbatch should be casted. He excelled as Doctor Strange, and while he can play multiple roles, why not voice the Surfer? Alternatively, Keanu Reeves and Joseph Gordon-Levitt could also bring this character to life. Considering his entire body would be CGI for this role, the perfect makeup artist could even replace Doug Jones, who was originally slated to play the Surfer in the Fantastic Four series.
The Moon Knight
Moon Knight is a gruff mercenary turned vigilante that can be seen as Marvel's darker Batman, with more supernatural powers. However, it's worth noting that a Disney series featuring Oscar Isaac has already brought this character to life in Phase 4 of the MCU. Despite this, a full-length movie could still elevate this character to new heights. Moon Knight's complex personality and dark charm could make for an exciting and engaging narrative.
Ghost Rider
The Ghost Rider was originally portrayed by Nicolas Cage, but for this unique take, the role should be given to Gabriel Luna. Robbie Reyes took the mantle of the Ghost Rider, and he would be perfect for the big screen. Gabriel Luna's turn in Justice League demonstrated his potential for this role, and an MCU sequel could add depth to his character and provide a thrilling adventure.
Other Hero Suggestions
There are several other superheroes that deserve their turn in an MCU movie. Here are a few suggestions:
Daredevil: Charlie Cox Captain Britain: Dan Stevens Luke Cage: Terry Crews Wolverine: Richard Armitage Hercules: John Cena Sentry: Brad Pitt Ka-Zar: Aleksander Skarsgard Squirrel Girl: Anna KendrickJubilee: Awkwafina
Emma Frost: Rebecca Ferguson
Rogue: Kristen Bell
Shadowcat: Sofia Boutella
Black Cat: Kristen Stewart
She-Hulk: Sarah Gadon
Red Hulk: David Tennant
Red She-Hulk: Alicia Vikander
Ka-Zar: Alex Pettyfer
Spider-Woman: Michelle Rodriguez
Polaris: Emma Roberts
Tigra: Kat Graham
The Ultimate Candidate: Wonder Man
For my final recommendation, I must say that Wonder Man is a hero who truly deserves his MCU movie debut. The idea of an aging stuntman who discovers amazing ionic powers and wishes to be a Hollywood star while also doing what’s right is set straight. Nathan Fillion, known for his work in shows such as Galaxy’s Edge and Flixir of Love, needs to take on the role of Wonder Man. It has already been confirmed that he had a cameo in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 as Simon Williams, Wonder Man. However, that cameo was unfortunately cut from the film, proving that he was indeed in it.James Gunn has already provided insight into Nathan Fillion's near-miss cameo in Guardians Vol. 2.
By giving Wonder Man his own standalone movie, we can explore a hero who is both a superhero and a Hollywood actor, facing challenges from both worlds. This movie can delve into the complex psychology of an aging stuntman turned superhero and his struggle to balance fame and responsibility. The story could be a thrilling mix of action and comedy, exploring the intersections between Hollywood and the superhero world.
In conclusion, while many Marvel characters have already made their way into the MCU, there are still countless heroes who deserve their turn in the spotlight. From The Silver Surfer to Wonder Man, let's hope that one day soon, we'll see these beloved characters make their grand entrances on the big screen.
