Building Unwavering Faith in God Through Trust and Love
Building Unwavering Faith in God Through Trust and Love
Trust is the cornerstone of faith, especially when it comes to believing in God. It's about putting deep trust in your gut that He indeed exists and is living and active. This is what faith truly means, dear one. Trusting without seeing. And whenever you feel doubts creeping in, just remember that God demonstrates many wonderful things to us, even though we have never personally seen Him. But we can feel His presence through His soul energy.
God is Love
Remember, it's not about pleasing a god. Instead, remember to love and have faith that love never fails. Many religions sell the concept of God as an all-powerful being, but they often confuse people with blame, vengeance, and judgment. However, if every religion emphasized that love is better than evil, the world would be a better place. Put your faith in love, and show it by loving yourself, your family, and your friends. Confusing religious doctrines can only add guilt and doubt, making it harder to find God. Remember, Jess shared that his journey is light and not burdensome. Focus on loving your life and doing good whenever possible.
Practical Steps to Boost Your Faith
Building a strong and unwavering faith in God is not only about spiritual practices but also about using modern tools and resources to support your journey. Here are some practical steps you can take:
Step 1: Utilize Technology
Consider having a personal computer. In today's digital age, computers are powerful tools that can help you keep track of your spiritual journey. You can use it to chronicle your growth in Christ and express your feelings. In addition, Google "Bible Timeline" and download one. This will help you get a better perspective on the events in the Bible and the history surrounding them. Use it to see how God has worked throughout history. This simple tool can significantly accelerate your spiritual growth.
Step 2: Engage with Historical and Cultural Materials
To enhance your understanding of the Bible, find materials, especially old books from the 60s and 70s that describe Hebrew culture in biblical times, complete with pictures. This will help you connect with God's teachings in a more visual and tangible way. You can find these inspirational books on platforms like eBay. They are also very helpful for children to get a better grasp of the Bible.
Step 3: Start a Prayer Journal
Start a prayer journal. This will allow you to pray over the journal and ask God to add to it as He wishes. Waiting and watching how God responds is incredibly encouraging. I have filled two of these journals with thoughts and prayers, and it has been very reassuring to see how God has answered each prayer.
Step 4: Pray Obediently
Pray in obedience to God, allowing Him to pray through you via the Holy Spirit. Always remember to pray in the name of Jesus. Here are some suggested prayers:
Lord, help me to be faithfully obedient to you, hungering and thirsting for righteousness at all times (Matthew 5). Lord, help me to be a peacemaker at all times (Matthew 5). Lord, help me to be merciful at all times (Matthew 5). Lord, help me to be humble at all times (Matthew 5). Lord, help me to grieve with you over the hurting, the poor, the sick, the doubting, and the unsaved (Matthew 5). Judge me, O LORD, my God, according to your righteousness, so that in the Day of Salvation, I will be found blameless (Psalm 35:24). Lord, help me to choose your will at all times over ill-gotten riches (the lesson of Solomon). Lord, help me to rejoice always and pray ceaselessly in my personal spiritual life (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18). Lord, help me to live wisely, always before you and in all situations (James 1:5). Lord, establish in me the mind of Christ, which you have promised to all who seek godliness in Christ (Philippians 2:5–11). Lord, seek to bless me with the Spirit of Revelation wisdom in accordance to your will as expressed in the Holy Bible (John 14:1, 1 Corinthians 14:1, Ephesians 1:17-21, 1 John 5:14-15, Ephesians 3:20).Following these steps can help you cultivate a stronger and more grounded faith in God. Remember, every step you take in God's direction leads to a good place. Practicing these steps daily can help you develop a deeper and more meaningful relationship with God.
