However, this should not lead to a sense of superiority or the denigration of other Malayalam cultural practices. If you truly want to identify as a Malayali, show your cultural pride by enjoying beef dishes. In Kerala, food is a part of the cultural heritage, and food is about nourishment and unity. Malaysia is a melting pot of cultures, just like Kerala, and embracing your food is an important part of your identity.

A segment of the Malayali community in Malaysia can be quite egoistic, sometimes comparing themselves to their mainland counterparts with a sense of superiority. It's important to recognize that such attitudes can be counterproductive. The treatment of Malayalis in mainland India can vary depending on the region. Expressions like "Pergi Balik" (which means "Go back" in Malayalam) are a reminder of the complex dynamics between communities.

Regardless of these differences, it's crucial to approach each other with respect and empathy. foster a positive relationship and mutual understanding.

Some of my friends and relatives in Malaysia share that many Malayalis who moved there appreciate the opportunity to improve their living conditions. While they may have stories of financial success, it's important to remember that their experiences differ widely.
