Interpreting Abstract Art: A Dive into My Unique Vision
Interpreting Abstract Art: A Dive into My Unique Vision
Abstract paintings often challenge conventional norms, opening up a realm of various interpretations and emotions. They use forms, colors, and textures to communicate without adhering to direct representation of reality. To maintain a visually engaging experience, it's crucial for abstract works to balance chaos and structure.
Challenges and Interpretations
The abstract artwork I am showcasing falls under a category often criticized for its disjointed appearance, with insights coming from various interpretations. My own view differs.
Supremacy and Judgment
Three concentric circles at the top of my painting represent celestial beings, symbolizing their supremacy over the people who worship them. For instance, the first circle, predominantly filled with flaming yellow, conveys a sense of corruption or anger. This element pours darkness onto its subjects, creating a blinding effect.
Life and Peace
The second circle, adorned with blue, symbolizes water or life. Following the core, it likely represents a life-giving being that sheds white peace to its subjects. However, the balance between good and evil is not maintained in such a way that evil easily overcomes the positive elements, much like how the majority of the world (depicted here) is covered in black, symbolizing a war.
Religion and ConflictThis could be interpreted as a reflection of the major causes of conflict and war among humans, such as religious differences. The dichotomy between light and darkness, good and evil, is stark, emphasizing the complexity of human conflicts.
Technical Aspects: Digital Painting
For a comparison, let me share my first impression. A glance at the image evades any direct connection to traditional brushstrokes, leading me to believe it is a digital painting. The brush start and end points are too uniform to be made by a real brush. Upon close inspection, I confirmed it was indeed a digital creation.
Some have suggested it would be a good submission for a critique. If anyone agrees with the digital interpretation, or has any corrections or insights, I would be delighted to hear them. It has been two years since I posted this, and I am still curious about the opinions of fellow art enthusiasts.
