IPCC Registration Revalidation: Guidelines and Deadlines for the May 2018 Exam

Contemporary professional accountancy necessitates stringent adherence to certifications and qualifications, particularly for the Intermediate Public Financial Accounting and Reporting Course (IPCC) of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI).

Validating Your IPCC Registration

The validity of your IPCC course registration is pivotal for your eligibility to appear in the examination. Initially registered on the 31st of January 2014, your registration expired on the 31st of January 2018. Consequently, it is mandatory to re-validate your registration before attempting the May 2018 IPCC exam.

Revalidation Process

Revalidation procedures are straightforward and can be completed online through the Board of Studies (BOS) portal. It is recommendable to have your revalidation letter ready when you apply for the examination. This will ensure that your validation date is recorded accurately in the examination form. Although you can apply for the examination without the revalidation letter, it is imperative to complete the revalidation process before result declaration.

Procedure for Revalidation

Filling up an online form available on the BOS portal. Generating and paying a Rs. 400 demand draft in the name of The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

It is crucial to remember that the payment date serves as the revalidation date, and you do not have to wait for the letter to be generated to proceed.

registration Validity and Expiration

Registration for the IPCC course is valid for a period of 4 years. Therefore, your registration lapsed on 31st January 2018. This means that you must now revalidate your registration to continue its validity for another 4 years.

Examination Eligibility

To be eligible to appear for the IPCE May 2018 exams, you are required to validate your IPCC registration. This can be done by filling up a form available at all ICAI branch offices and issuing a demand draft of Rs. 400 in the name of The Secretary, The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

While your initial registration is valid for 5 years, for CA IPCC, you must switch courses with a minimal fee. It is advisable to complete this revalidation process as soon as possible to avoid any complications during the examination process.

Revalidation Deadline

The last date for revalidating your registration for the May 2018 IPCC exam is 2nd March 2018 or the date of your application, whichever is earlier.

By adhering to these guidelines and completing the required steps, you ensure that you are eligible to appear for the May 2018 IPCC exam and that your registration remains valid throughout the process.
