What is Something That Parents Say Makes You Cringe?

When we think back to our childhood, some of the things our parents said can be quite cringe-worthy. These moments can range from overprotective instructions to outdated advice that reflect a time long gone. 1. Overprotective Advice

When I was fourteen, my mother once told me, If you get pregnant just keep the baby and I'll bring it up. I was shocked! With all my innocence, I replied, But Mum, I'm only fourteen, and I am not having any sex at all. She, however, continued, When you do have sex, if you get pregnant - And then with a serious tone, she said, Yes, but if the condom breaks, just keep the baby. I wouldn't mind bringing up a baby again. She didn't know the phrase WTF at the time, so I just growled-sighed at her in disbelief.

At another point, a workmate once called my office to come quickly to see her child do a Big Girl Poo. It was a real dilemma. How do you decline a request when the person making it has just made you dinner and is your superior at work? It’s another cringe-worthy moment that still makes me cringe.
