Can a Fairy Tale Be Written in 30 Minutes?

One day, I was assigned to write a fairy tale, but the deadline was approaching quickly. In a rush, I started writing, filling my story with numerous elements of magic and wonder. Driven by the time constraint, I decided to enjoy the creative process rather than anxiously worrying about the outcome. In just 30 minutes, my first fairytale was completed, and though it may sound a bit awkward, I hope you enjoy it.

Clumsy Magician

In a quaint small town called Rawlins, there lived a young girl named Pupiliena. Tragedy struck when she lost her mother, Jennifer, in a car accident that caused severe burns. Pupiliena's father, Brad, was determined to provide a different future for her. He decided to move to Boston, a bustling city where Pupiliena could thrive and avoid the painful memories of her mother's death.

Brad arranged their journey to Boston with the promise, “Now a journey of two will start, a man and a little daughter.” Upon arrival, Pupiliena's joy quickly turned to tears when she discovered her cherished doll was missing. Brad could only console her as they settled into their new life, which was filled with sadness and loneliness.

As the years passed, Pupiliena grew into a young woman, but her life took a turn for the worse when she developed a debilitating illness. Her only solace was her fond memories of her mother, which she carried in her heart. One night, she had a dream that seemed like a recurring image. She saw herself running and flying, and then a familiar voice cried, “Wake up, wake up, wake up.” This time, the dream was real. Jennifer appeared to tell her that she, in fact, was severely injured and had been in a coma for six years, and that Brad never left Rawlins.

The next summer, Pupiliena decided to dive into the sea, where she discovered her incredible magical abilities. With practice, she realized she could fly and dive deeper than any human. This discovery led her back to her dream of finding a way to help both her and her father. In one of her dreams, she encountered a magician who could grant magical wishes. The magician warned, “I can change things and events, but they might not be exactly as you wanted, and it might take up to six years.”

The Magician's Offer

The magician, a slightly clumsy figure, approached Pupiliena. He explained that he could grant her wishes, but the changes might not be as she expected, and it could take years for the magic to manifest. Pupiliena, desperate for a miraculous cure, decided to take the risk. She wished for her health to be restored and for her father to remember their time in Boston.

Time passed, and the months blurred into the years. Pupiliena continued to hone her magical abilities, always hoping for the day when her wish would come true. Through her journey, she learned that the path to magic is often long and winding, but hope and perseverance can guide one through the darkest of times.
